Tournament Rules and Regulations

General Rules & Guidelines:

  1. Eligibility:

    • Participation is open only to Apple employees.
    • Players can register for up to two categories.
  2. Registration:

    • Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • Each player must complete the registration form and submit it before the deadline.
    • Deadline for registration: 18th October 2024.
  3. Format:

    • Singles Matches: Best of 3 sets, each set to 11 points.
    • Doubles Matches: Best of 3 sets, each set to 11 points.
    • Mixed Doubles Matches: Best of 3 sets, each set to 11 points.
    • A set must be won by 2 points, with no upper limit.
  4. Game Rules:

    • Service: Players will alternate serving every 2 points. A coin toss will decide the initial server.
    • Let Rule: If the ball touches the net on a serve but lands in the correct service box, the serve is replayed.
    • Rallies: Players alternate hitting the ball. The ball must bounce once on each side before being returned.
    • Scoring: Points are won when the opponent fails to return the ball according to the rules.
  5. Attire:

    • Participants are required to wear sports attire (preferably non-marking shoes).
  6. Match Schedule:

    • Match timings will be communicated via email once registration closes.
    • Participants are expected to report 30 minutes before their match time.
  7. Prizes:

    • Trophies and certificates will be awarded to the winners and runners-up in each category.
