Team Composition
- Each team will have 6 players on the field at any time, Max 8 players
- 2 Impact Substitutions is allowed, one either for batting or bowling
- The substitution must be declared before the start of the innings or at the fall of a wicket.
Game Format
Rules
Overs:
- Each match will consist of 6 overs per side.
Infrastructure
- The multi-purpose court in ITPH (International tech Park, Hyderabad) will be used
- We will use Sixit Tennis balls or equivalent
Bowling Restrictions:
- Mandate one over ,per player
- Only over arm throw ups – (Throwing, no bowling)
Fielding Rules:
At any point during the game:
- Only 2 players are allowed on the boundary line while fielding.
- Players must remain in their respective zones as per the fielding restrictions.
- Violations will result in a no-ball.
Batting Rules:
Batters cannot be dismissed via:
- Leg Before Wicket (LBW).
- No Leg Byes.
Runs:
- Runs can only be scored through proper shots, byes, or overthrows.
- Hitting the ball directly to the boundary counts as 4 runs, while clearing the boundary counts as 6 runs.
- Batters can be run out, bowled, caught, or dismissed by a direct hit to the stumps.
No-Ball and Wide Rules:
A delivery will be declared a no-ball if:
- The bowler crosses the bowling crease.
- Fielding restrictions are violated.
- The ball bounces more than once before reaching the batter.
- Full toss above the waist
- If the ball gets stuck in the roof, net, or boundary walls, it will be declared a dead ball, and no runs will be awarded.
Penalty for a No-Ball and wide ball:
- 1 extra run will be awarded, and the next delivery will be a Free Hit (the batter cannot be dismissed except for a run-out),
- Free hit only in case of Full toss above the waist and the bowler crosses the bowling crease
- A ball pitched outside the side markers will be declared a wide, and 1 extra run will be awarded.
Scoring and Winning:
- The team with the highest total at the end of their innings will win the match.
In case of a tie,
Super Over will decide the winner
- Each team will bat for 1 over with 2 wickets available in a super over
Others:
- Umpires decision if final decision
- In case of discrepancy, Organizing committee has the ultimate authority to decide
- Indulging in any bad or foul language will lead to player or team suspension
- Any concerns only captain has to take it up with referees or organising committee
