Futsal Tournament Rules
1. Team Composition
- Number of Players: Each team must have 5 players on the field at any given time (4 outfield players + 1 goalkeeper).
- Substitutions: Rolling substitutions are allowed. A substituted player can re-enter the game.
- Minimum Players: A team must have at least 3 players to start the match.
2. Match Duration
- Match Time: Each match will consist of two halves of 15 minutes each.
- Half-time: 5-minute break.
- Penalty Shootout: If still tied after full time, a penalty shootout will decide the winner (3 penalties per team).
3. Game Play
- Kick-off: A kick-off will be taken from the center circle to start the match and after each goal.
- Ball Out of Play: When the ball crosses the touchline or goal line, play is restarted by a kick-in or goal clearance.
- Goalkeepers:
- Goalkeepers must release the ball within 4 seconds and cannot hold the ball in their hands for longer.
- They may only use their hands inside their own penalty area.
4. Fouls and Misconduct
- Fouls: Sliding tackles are not allowed. Physical contact should be minimal.
- Accumulated Fouls: After the 5th accumulated foul, the opposing team is awarded a direct free kick from the second penalty mark (10 meters from goal).
- Cards:
- Yellow Card: Warning for misconduct or unsporting behavior.
- Red Card: Player is sent off and cannot be replaced for 2 minutes, or until the opposing team scores a goal.
5. Scoring
- Goals: Can be scored from anywhere on the field, except from a goalkeeper’s clearance.
- Own Goal: An own goal will be counted.
6. Offside
- There is no offside rule in futsal.
7. Referee’s Decision
- The referee’s decisions are final. Any disputes will be addressed by the tournament organizing committee.
Tournament Rules and Regulations
- Footwear and Attire:
- Players must wear non-marking sports shoes suitable for oudoor play to ensure proper grip and avoid damaging the playing surface.
- Comfortable sports attire should be worn, adhering to any specific dress code set by the tournament organizers.
- Safety Measures:
- Ensure the playing area is free of obstacles and has adequate space around the table for safe movement.
- Adequate lighting should be provided to avoid visual strain.
- First aid kits should be available at the venue.
- Players should warm up properly before matches to prevent injuries.
- Sportsmanship and Conduct:
- Players should exhibit good sportsmanship, respect opponents, and follow the rules and decisions of the umpire.
- Any disputes should be resolved calmly and respectfully through the appropriate channels provided by the tournament organizers.
